This announcement is part of the promotional campaign for the upcoming Philippine Coffee Expo 2025, scheduled for May 9-11 at Space, One Ayala, Makati City.
This year’s theme, "Charting New Frontiers," focuses on pioneering new opportunities and breaking boundaries for Philippine coffee on both local and global stages.
Last year, coffee farmers from Sultan Kudarat dominated the Best Quality Robusta Coffee category, securing top positions. The winners were Rey John Basco (1st place), Roan Basco (2nd place), Denz Bert Deramos (5th place), and Orlando Bayudan (6th place).
In 2021, Sultan Kudarat contributed 85.90% of the regional coffee yield, making it a key player in the Soccsksargen Region, which is the top coffee-producing region in the Philippines. The province's coffee has also gained recognition in international competitions, further solidifying its reputation as a producer of high-quality coffee.
The Philippine Coffee Expo (PCE) is the largest coffee-centric exhibition in the Philippines, bringing together various stakeholders in the coffee industry, including coffee roasters, farmers, cooperatives, and equipment distributors.
The event features a range of activities, including the Philippine Coffee Quality Competition, international and local speakers, breakout sessions, and exhibitions showcasing the latest innovations, trends, and developments in the coffee industry.
