GEFBA showcases best local dishes at GenSan's Kalilangan Festival 2025

The GenSan Food and Beverage Association (GEFBA) is showcasing local cuisines at this year’s Kalilangan Festival. The association, composed of local food establishments, highlights their best offerings as part of the city’s gastronomy tourism initiative.

GEFBA President Anabella Kho Noel mentioned that this participation is beneficial for them as it promotes GenSan-grown food establishments. It emphasizes local cuisine, encouraging both locals and tourists to patronize local dishes.

Although GEFBA has more than ten members, only four food establishments are currently participating: Tambilawan Kamayan Restaurant, Jo-Ann’s Bakeshop, Spice N’ Wok, and Mav’s Unli Grill.

The Kalilangan Food Strip had its soft opening on February 10 and will continue until February 28. During the soft opening, Mayor Lorelie Geronimo Pacquiao graced the event to support local food businesses.

In her message, Mayor Pacquiao expressed the role of the Kalilangan Festival Market in boosting tourism and providing opportunities for entrepreneurs in the city. According to the mayor, such programs showcase the vibrancy of the city in promoting culture and business.

The Kalilangan Food Strip is open daily from 2 PM to 11:30 PM at the Oval Plaza, Pendatun Avenue entrance.
