Jozel Ignes celebrates cultural legacy with new 'Caballero' fashion collection

South Cotabato fashion designer Jozel Ignes has unveiled his latest collection, "CABALLERO," a tribute to the province's rich agricultural heritage.

He shared a series of editorial fashion photographs on Facebook, showcasing his collaboration with photographer Cheyenne Aperocho.

"The designs prominently feature the horse, symbolizing early agricultural tools, dowry traditions, and a crucial means of transporting goods from upland areas to trading centers. This representation highlights the horse's significant role in the province's economic development. By blending traditional elements with contemporary fashion, 'CABALLERO' celebrates the enduring legacy and cultural wealth of South Cotabato," Ignes described in his post.

Local models Rasid Gogolintang and Kairi Paulino were also featured in the collection, embodying the essence of this cultural homage.

Based in the Municipality of Santo Niño in South Cotabato Province, Ignes continues to draw inspiration from his roots to create fashion that tells a story.
