The City of Goodwill witnessed a vibrant celebration of poetry, art, and music at the TULA KANTO event organized by the Sarangani Writers League (SWL). The event was held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at The Alchemist (Specialty Coffee Shop), Tacurong City.
Emerging poets, visual artists, and musicians came together to showcase their talents and express solidarity with the local artistic community.
The event featured captivating performances by local indie bands, including 'Keep The Customers Satisfied' and PRZ. Their music resonated with the audience, creating an electric atmosphere.
"Despite the initial challenges we encountered, the TULA KANTO Tacurong leg took an unexpected turn," said SWL Executive Director Genory Vanz Alfasain.
Alfasain expressed gratitude to the young artists of Tacurong for their support and active participation in the event. He hopes that similar events will continue to be organized in the near future, further strengthening the artistic community of the city.
SWL aims to inspire promising writers in Sultan Kudarat, encouraging them to reinvigorate the once-thriving writers' organization in the province. As an ally, SWL remains committed to fostering creativity and literary expression.
Tula Kanto Tacurong was co-organized by Non-brand, The Alchemist and Tacurong City Tourism, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and community support.
